Genoa Black saw another year of rapid growth in 2017, continuing to deliver strategic marketing advice and services across a range of sectors including oil and gas, energy, food and drink, consumer, financial services and new emerging sectors.

Having now assisted over 300 companies including international execution across 5 continents, the company is delighted to announce the promotion of Sylwia Kaminska from Project and Data Administrator to Business Manager in support of our client and project contracts.

Entering its 5th year, Genoa Black has seen an average growth in turnover year on year by 63% and average profit growth year on year by 28% and with this growth comes further opportunity for our team to progress and develop.

Genoa Black Director, Vicki Whetton, said “Sylwia has been doing fantastic work for Genoa Black since she started last year. She has been an integral part of the Scottish Enterprise Marketing Expert Support (MES) framework delivery and, over the past 10 months, she has proved to be so much more than a Project and Data Administrator, delivering way over and above her remit. She was instrumental in supporting the team across both new business and client delivery in 2017 and I am thrilled to be able to promote her to Business Manager in recognition of her hard work and what she brings to the team at Genoa Black.”

Sylwia commented, “I am really excited about this recent promotion to Business Manager, it is an incredible opportunity and I look forward to this new position in this growing business. I highly value the trust that has been given to me and want to thank the management team and all the team members for their support, direction and advice, as my experience here to date has been very beneficial to me. I feel that the past 10 months have helped me to build upon my professional strengths and to increase my efficiency in weaker areas. As Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, said ‘Women need to shift from thinking I’m not ready to do that to thinking I want to do that — and I’ll learn by doing it’. I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities for growth and I will do my very best to surpass all expectations of me.”
