The economic implication of COVID-19 is now looking to be more severe than any living person today has experienced.With half of the world’s population, about 4 billion people, now exercising some level of social distancing the implications on macro and micro (Global and Regional) economics will be profound.

In this edition we consider the short to medium term macroeconomic effects of this virus and the uncertainties it has created. Informing this thinking are recent learnings emerging from China, and the findings of leading economic/ industry bodies and economists who all point to the stark reality that the current crisis will affect us economically for decades.
